Quick Skin Care Tips for Winter

4-Basic-Skin-Care-Needs

I am always looking for ways to improve the appearance of my skin and hair without taking too much time in front of the mirror. As a busy mom and overtime blogger and writer, I love to find ways to have great looking skin and keep time spent doing so to a minimum. I am pretty confident these tips will help you to achieve the same great looks as I go for, with only a few minutes required. You can try one or all – it’s up to you. Also – you don’t have to use the products I am speaking about, but I highly recommend them because I use them, and I know they work.

Cleansing

Be sure to cleanse your face twice per day. Once in the morning, and once at night. It takes only a few minutes, and rids your skin of make up buildup, oil, and dirt. It also refreshes you and will keep your skin soft and smooth and acne free. I recommend Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel for any skin type to get a fresh, clean face you can see and feel. It’s gentle enough to use every day, and this particular brand is recommended by top dermatologists worldwide for its effectiveness and gentle cleansing capabilities.

Moisturize

Be sure to moisturize after cleansing to lock in the natural moisture in your face, plus rehydrate your skin when it’s been washed of oils and debris. During the winter months, this is exceptionally important. I am currently in love with Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance because of it’s fantastic phytonutrients which help to fight the signs of aging, and it also provides intensive moisture to the face and neck – which, lets face it, we all experience during the winter months. I love this product, and I know you will, too.

Exfoliate

Once per week is all you need when it comes to exfoliation. By exfoliating too much, you can damage your skin, and cause further skin damage and problems which may be irreversible. Try using a gentle exfoliant once per week, such as the Forever Flawless Diamond Infused Facial Peel which will provide your skin with a renewed, refreshed look as dead skin cells are removed, as well as toxins and impurities. Don’t do yourself a disservice by rigorously scrubbing or causing abrasions to the skin by using harsh exfoliating tools; rather, all you need is something gentle and mild to do the trick. Steer clear of facial loofah’s and scrubs, as these tend to deplete the skin of moisture and cause dryness, redness, and itching.

If you follow these three tips, I guarantee you will see better skin results. If you have problematic skin, chances are during the winter months it will become even more problematic and complicated. There are other products I could recommend for acne-prone skin, such as Gunilla of Sweden Lerosett Organic Acne Treatment which is perfect to treat acne – and it’s all organic. In terms of moisturizing, those with acne need something gentle yet effective. Using typical moisturizers is generally not a good idea when you have acne because it can cause even more acne related issues. Try Burt’s Bees Natural Acne Solutions Moisturizing Lotion– it’s cheap and works great! It’s also all natural.

I wish you all fabulous skin and a wonderful week ahead!
